Initial Consultation
After you get in touch with us with your proposal, we will come to visit your home and property to explore your ideas. Once we determine your goals, wants and needs, we will take measurements and create a plan of action.
Design Contract
Once you and the team feel confident that Knight Custom Homes is a good fit for your vision, we will sign a design contract and take a deposit to begin the next step.
Design Process
At this point in the design process, we will invite our interior designer and architect into the process so we can collaborate and determine creative possibilities to finalize the details of your project.
We break the design into two phases. Concept and Floor plans for the first phase and then elevations, specifications, and selections with full permit-ready plans for the second phase. Breaking this up allows us to give you a rough idea of the budget for where your project will land at the end of phase one, then going into a very detailed estimate at the end of phase 2. This break allows us to make sure everyone is aligned on budget and scope before we move into planning every little detail for your dream home.
Costing
When we put together your project quote, we aim to be as accurate as possible, considering every detail to reduce surprises and keep your cost as low as we can. Our intentional design process allows us to estimate with incredible accuracy within 5% of the approved scope and plans.
Knight Custom Homes is completely transparent with our clients, and we will disclose all markups and changes in cost, allowing you to control the project and stick to your budget.
Construction Contract
Once the quote is approved, we will sign a construction contract and start work on bringing your dreams to life.
Permits & Building
Knight Custom Homes will obtain all necessary permits to begin construction. We guarantee to keep your home clean, safe, and organized during the large-scale renovation and will maintain open lines of communication about the project at every stage.
Final Walkthrough
Once the large-scale renovation is completed, we will walk you through your property to ensure that it meets your standards as well as our own.
We will then sign off on the completed contract and provide you with all necessary documentation.
Warranty
We also do not disappear once your renovation is complete.
